US carriers require every business sending text messages over standard 10-digit numbers to register under A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person, 10-Digit Long Code). Unregistered traffic is filtered or blocked outright. Recepta.ai handles the registration flow for you, but the review is done by carriers and takes real time.
Start registration as soon as your workspace exists. Approval commonly takes several business days and can take longer if information needs correcting. Voice calling works immediately; texting does not work until this is approved.

The two stages

1

Brand registration

Identifies your business to the carriers. You’ll provide your legal business name exactly as registered, EIN or tax ID, business address, website, and an authorized contact. These are cross-checked against public records. A mismatch — a trading name instead of the legal name, a stale address, a transposed EIN digit — is the single most common cause of rejection.
2

Campaign registration

Describes what you’ll actually send. You’ll declare the use case (appointment reminders, customer care, notifications), provide sample messages, and show how customers opt in and opt out.
Recepta.ai advances the registration through its stages automatically and surfaces the current status in the dashboard. You don’t need to chase each step manually.

Getting through review first time

Submit the messages you will genuinely send, including your business name and opt-out language. Generic placeholders get rejected.
Reviewers want to see where and how a customer agreed to be texted — a checkbox on your booking form, wording on your web form, or verbal consent captured on a call. Have a URL you can point to.
Carrier reviews check for both on your website, and for messaging-specific disclosure covering message frequency, data rates, and how to stop.
Standard keywords must work. Recepta.ai processes opt-outs automatically and suppresses further messages to that number — don’t work around it.

While you wait

Everything except SMS works during review. Take calls, book jobs, run the chat widget, and finish configuring your agent. Turn on SMS reminders and outbound texting once you’re approved.

If you’re rejected

Rejections come back with a reason, and are usually fixable in one pass — most often a name or EIN mismatch. Correct the detail and resubmit. If the reason is unclear, contact info@recepta.ai with your workspace name and we’ll look at the carrier response with you.
Registration is per business, not per number. Once your brand and campaign are approved, additional numbers on the same workspace are covered.
