# Facebook lead ads

> Syncing lead form submissions into outbound campaigns.

Facebook and Instagram lead ads produce leads fast and cheaply — and they go cold faster than any other source, because the person filled in a form without leaving the app and has already scrolled on.

Connecting Facebook to Recepta.ai means those leads get called within minutes instead of whenever someone next exports a CSV.

## Connecting

<Steps>
  <Step title="Authorize Facebook">
    From **Integrations**, connect Facebook and grant access to the Page that runs your lead ads. Use an account with a lasting admin role on the Page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import your lead forms">
    Select which lead forms should sync. You can run several — keep them separate if the follow-up should differ.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Map the fields">
    Match your form's fields to contact fields. Name and phone are the essentials; the service they asked about is what makes the follow-up specific.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Attach a campaign">
    Point the incoming leads at an outbound [campaign](/outbound/campaigns) so they're worked automatically as they arrive.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Synced leads become [contacts](/outbound/contacts) with source `FACEBOOK`, so you can target and measure them separately from everything else.

## Speed is the whole thing

<Warning>
  Facebook leads decay in minutes, not hours. If your first contact attempt is the next business day, expect most of them to have forgotten they filled in your form — or to have already hired someone else.
</Warning>

Call first, immediately. Follow with a text if the call isn't answered. See [Sequences](/outbound/sequences) for the shape.

## Quality expectations

Lead ads are frictionless by design, which means they produce volume with a wide quality spread. Plan for it:

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Qualify on the call" icon="filter">
    Let the agent establish service, location, and timeline before booking. Configure this under [caller types](/receptionist/caller-types).
  </Card>

  <Card title="Measure on booked jobs" icon="chart-line">
    Cost per lead is a vanity number here. Cost per booked job is the one that decides whether the campaign is working.
  </Card>
</Columns>

<Tip>
  Adding one qualifying question to the Facebook form itself — "what do you need help with?" — cuts junk volume and makes the first call far more specific.
</Tip>

## Consent

Your lead form must state that submitting means you'll contact them, and by which channels. That disclosure is the consent basis for calling and texting them, and it's what backs your [A2P 10DLC campaign](/phone/a2p-10dlc) if a carrier asks.

<Warning>
  Don't text Facebook leads unless your form said you would. Submitting a form for a quote is not blanket consent to be messaged.
</Warning>

## If leads stop arriving

Usually the Facebook connection has expired or Page permissions changed. Check the integration's status and last sync time under **Integrations**, and reconnect. Verify by submitting a test lead through your own form.
