# Billing

> Invoices, payment methods, failed payments, and cancellation.

Your subscription is managed under **Subscription** in the dashboard — current plan, payment method, invoices, and usage against your allowances.

<Note>
  This is what you pay Recepta.ai. Money you collect from your own customers is separate and settles to your own account — see [Payments](/booking/payments).
</Note>

## What you're charged

| Component             | When                                                    |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------- |
| Plan fee | Each billing period, monthly or annually in advance |
| Call overages | End of period, for calls beyond your included allowance |
| Conversation overages | End of period, for chat and SMS beyond your allowance |
| Human escalations     | \$3 per transfer to a person                            |
| Add-ons | Additional phone numbers and other extras |

Rates per tier are on the [Plans](/plans) page. Live usage is on the [Usage](/account/usage-and-overages) page.

## Monthly or annual

Annual billing is priced at ten months — two months free. It suits businesses with steady call volume. Stay monthly while you're still working out which tier fits.

## Changing plans

Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Nothing you've configured is affected — agents, knowledge, contacts, integrations, and history all persist. Changes take effect from your next billing cycle.

<Note>
  Existing subscriptions keep the price they were signed up at. A published price change doesn't reprice a live subscription unless you change tier yourself.
</Note>

## Failed payments

If a payment fails, Recepta.ai retries on a schedule and notifies you. Update your card promptly — an unresolved failure eventually suspends service, and a suspended workspace stops answering your phone.

<Warning>
  Keep a valid card on file and make sure billing notifications reach a monitored address. The most common cause of a surprise outage is an expired card and a notification going to someone who has left.
</Warning>

## Invoices

Invoices are available in the dashboard and emailed to your billing contact. They itemize the plan fee and each overage category, so you can see what drove a larger-than-usual bill.

## Cancelling

Cancel from **Subscription**. Service continues to the end of the period you've paid for.

Before you cancel:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Redirect your phone number">
    If you forwarded your business line to Recepta.ai, point it somewhere else first. Otherwise your calls stop being answered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export what you need">
    Contacts, call records, and transcripts. See [Security & privacy](/account/security-and-privacy).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Disconnect integrations">
    Revoke Recepta.ai's access from your CRM and calendars.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Billing access

Billing is permission-controlled. Grant it deliberately — see [Team & roles](/account/team-and-roles).

Billing questions go to [info@recepta.ai](mailto:info@recepta.ai) with your workspace name and the invoice in question.
